Sometimes you need a little comfort food in your life. If there’s anyone in the Midwest who knows their comfort food (and knows it very well) it’s Amish – and wouldn’t you know it, there’s a buffet to die for filled to the brim with amazing Amish food. It’s one of the best comfort foods you can find in the Hoosier State, and you’re sure to love it (it’s literally Loogootee’s #1 restaurant). Stoll’s Lakeview Restaurant is probably the best Amish buffet in Indiana – and it has an amazing view from the dining room too!
In these uncertain times, please keep safety in mind and consider adding destinations to your bucket list at a later date.
The exterior alone can bring you closer, even if you are unaware of the delights within. Once inside, however, you’re transported back in time to the incredible old-school buffet that you’ll probably immediately recognize from your childhood.
This is far of broken, anyway; the food here is head-to-toe Amish classics and all the best comfort food you could hope for.
For example, on Mondays you can choose between fried chicken, ribs, pot roast, etc. On Wednesday, baked chicken, white fish, minute steak, sausage and kraut, and more are up for grabs. The list is long and varies depending on the day of the week.
As if this place wasn’t enough of a dream come true for those of us who really like to get drunk once in a while! Every menu item here is delectable. It truly is the crown jewel of Loogootee cuisine.
Great food, great times, great menu and great location? We suspect it doesn’t get much better than this.
The dessert menu, like the breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, is varied and delicious. We certainly won’t judge whether you go back for seconds (or thirds).
