San Antonio Diner The Hayden appearing on ‘Food Paradise’


food paradise, a national food reality TV show, takes a seat at The Hayden. The Jewish restaurant with a flair for local dishes is set to make its television debut later this month.

food paradise travels the country drawing in viewers by taking them to must-visit restaurants across the United States. The show, which originally launched on the Travel Channel and is now available on the Cooking Channel, Discover Channel and Food Network, features The Hayden, owned by Adam Lampinstein, on its “Retro Remix” episode airing on Wednesdays. January 26 at 9 p.m.

This isn’t the first time the show has featured a San Antonio restaurant. Local staple Henry’s Puffy Tacos was introduced in December 2014, according to the the restaurant’s website.

The Hayden opened in October 2020 at 4025 Broadway as the neighborhood’s go-to for cocktails and hearty meals that aren’t “too thoughtful or picky.” Although simple, the menu offers creative cuisine such as barbacoa stroganoff, fries also topped with beef cheek meat, hot salmon with honey mustard, pork chop cutlets, and more.

To celebrate its big moment, The Hayden is hosting a watch party on January 26 from 8-10 p.m. The episode will air at 9 p.m. local time. During the viewing party, guests will be able to order food, enjoy cocktails and help honor the staff of Lampinstein and The Hayden.
