A leading Asian restaurant and caterer has announced a special “Iftar buffet” at a hotel and venue in Mellor.
The buffets will take place from 7pm on selected dates from Friday April 15 for the remaining days of Ramadan at the Stanley House Hotel in Blackburn, and will be served by Bradford-based restaurant chain MyLahore.
The menu, priced at £19.99 and £11.99 for children (4-12), includes “a range of classic desi starters, mains and desserts”. There are also “Chinese-style favourites, vegetarian and vegan options”. Children under 4 eat free and reservations must be made in advance.
Iftar is when Muslims break their daily fast during the month of Ramadan.
Based in West Yorkshire with restaurants across the country – and planning to open a new site in Blackburn’s oldest former pub – MyLahore brings the best of South Asian cuisine and also offers fusion dishes, mixing its traditions with more western dishes such as burgers and pasta.
A spokesperson for MyLahore said: “Through the kind generosity of the owners of Stanley House Hotel, hall charges have been waived, allowing for a premium Iftar experience at an exceptional price, to help bring the community together during the blessed month of Ramadan.
“MyLahore will also donate 10% of all Iftar Buffet sales to their school charity project Read Foundation.”
Set on 54 acres, Stanley House Hotel L’Orangerie welcomed guests to the 2021 Lancashire Tourism Awards in February.
Monte Leisure, owned by the Issa brothers of Blackburn, took over the hotel and venue in 2020.
