In addition to providing respite from a busy day at work, Ginger aims to fill the bellies of hungry customers with authentic local dishes. The restaurant offers five halal-certified live dining stations and prides itself on serving one of the best halal hotel buffets in Singapore!

Singaporeans love buffets and we were looking forward to the return of a full service buffet. Hooray, because our dream has finally come true! It’s been way too long, hasn’t it?

In addition to the usual suspects such as seafood on ice, sushi and sashimi, Ginger promises tantalizing flavors of Singapore specially created to provide a sense of comfort and familiarity in both their lunch buffet and dinner buffet. Parent’s Day Peranakan theme (exclusively for the month of May and June).

Diners can expect local dishes prepared with quality ingredients and meticulous preparation methods such as Hokkien mee, laksa, chicken rice, oyster omelet, mee siam, chicken wings charcoal grilled and smoked satay. A selection of dim sum, Western dishes, Hong Kong roasts and desserts are also set to dazzle your taste buds.

Highlights of the Peranakan themed Parent’s Day buffet dinner (dinner SGD 69, Tuesday-Sunday 6:00-10:30 p.m.) include Braised Wagyu Beef Rendang, Buah Keluak Fried Rice, Chicken Curry Nyonya and Crispy Halibut with Ginger Blossom Belacan Chilli. Tender and well infused with spices, the wagyu beef cheek rendang is not to be missed! Best eaten with a bowl of rice, but just as good on its own. The Chef’s Special Buah Keluak Fried Rice is carefully prepared with a myriad of local ingredients and homemade buah keluak batter. Get ready for a fiery punch and intense flavors!

Planning on dropping by for Ginger’s buffet lunch (SGD49) which runs Tuesday through Sunday, 12-3 PM? You will enjoy ! The chef recommended the Chicken Siew Mai, Chicken Karaage, Pulled Chicken Slider and Hokkien Prawn Noodle which are whipped over a large fire to give seafood wok hei kisses, white beehoon and yellow noodle mix .

One of the many dishes the chef takes exceptional pride in is undoubtedly laksa. Made with freshly harvested herbs, fresh homemade rempah, desiccated coconut that has been toasted and ground, coconut milk and gula melaka, the laksa broth is painstakingly simmered for 4 hours. The chef’s dedication to his star dish certainly pays off, as the laksa is an incredibly rich and creamy bowl filled with robust flavors that will have you instantly reaching for seconds.

We also particularly enjoyed the chicken rice which saw succulent and tender poached chicken paired with a serving of firm grains that weren’t too greasy. With the homemade chili and ginger paste that comes with it, the well-executed chicken was utterly amazing in our books.
