Festive selections of high tea and buffet dinners for family gatherings


FESTIVE occasions are always the best time to bond over a meal while reuniting with family. This Chinese New Year, Melting Pot at Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur presents a range of festive favorites to usher in the Year of the Tiger.

The choice of tasting local and Western dishes around a buffet dinner or a high tea is available at the restaurant.

While enjoying the grand feast, guests can listen to Begema 5 performing a selection of Lunar New Year songs and hits.

Highlights of the Chinese New Year Melting Pot Buffet include the Chinese New Year’s Eve Meeting Buffet Dinner at RM188 per person (with a complimentary bottle of red wine per booking), while the High Tea Buffet the First and second day of Lunar New Year is priced at RM88 nett per person and buffet dinner is tagged at RM138nett per person.

Children ages 6-12 eat free.

Some of the dishes served for afternoon tea include Smoked Duck and Orange Salad, Thai Beef Salad, Kai See Hor Fun, Bee Hoon Sup Utara, Roasted Beef Striploin Served with Roast Potato with rosemary and a black pepper sauce as well as salmon in puff pastry with lemon. Butter sauce.

A selection of oriental delicacies like chicken siew mai, mini lotus pau, chicken rice, fried sui gow, fried oriental noodles, crispy garlic thai prawns with mango mayo and yong tow foo are also waiting for you .

Local favorites like ayam goreng berempah, lamb briyani and roti jala with chicken curry are also on the menu.

Chinese dishes continue to appeal at the dinner buffet with dishes like Mini Buddha Jump Over the Wall, Braised Chicken in Fine Soy Sauce, Shanghai Eight Treasure Duck, Wok Fried Shrimp with Egg Yolk savory and Thai steamed red Garoupa.

Diners opting for the buffet dinner can also expect to get lucky with yee sang.

In the dessert corner, you’ll find sweet delights such as raspberry white chocolate mousse, tangerine jelly, Chinese pancake, fried nian gao and an assortment of Chinese New Year cookies.
