SALT LAKE CITY –Arizona Cardinals defensive end JJ Watt enjoyed a visit to Utah State with a trip to the Chuck-A-Rama buffet restaurant.
Watt shared her experience with a fun post on Twitter on March 19.
“I grew up at Old Country Buffet, Golden Corral, etc. trying to gain weight for sports. But I haven’t been to a buffet in years. Kealia is from Utah and has loved Chuck-A-Rama ever since I met her. Today I remember the grandeur of the buffet restaurant.
The NFL star has family ties to Utah State.
Watt’s wife, Kealia Watt, was born in Draper, Utah and attended Alta High School. She is currently a member of the Chicago Red Stars of the NWSL.
The NFL linebacker previously expressed interest in buying former NWSL club Utah Royals FC before the team moved to Kansas City in 2020.
In early 2021, Watt praised former BYU tight end and current Kansas City Chiefs Matt Bushman for creating a foundation. Bushman said his foundation was inspired by the Cardinals star.
Watt recently completed his 11th season in the NFL and his first with the Cardinals.
In 2021, Watt recorded 16 total tackles, 10 solo tackles, one sack, one forced fumble and two pass breakups in seven regular season games with Arizona. He added three total tackles and a solo tackle in the Cardinals’ only playoff game.
