A mouth-watering new Brazilian steakhouse will open next week at The Shops at La Cantera

Make way for Chama Gaúcha and Fogo de Chão. A mouth-watering new Brazilian steakhouse will soon be welcoming guests.

Mexico-based Brazilian steakhouse Bovino’s Churrascaría is opening its first U.S. restaurant in San Antonio on Tuesday, Jan. 26 at The Shops at La Cantera, according to a company press release.

“We are thrilled to have found the perfect environment for our concept at The Shops at La Cantera,” said Dev Bassnet, general manager of the San Antonio site. “Its outdoor lifestyle with retail outlets and lush surroundings is a destination that caters to locals and tourists alike.”

Grupo Bovino typically opens its locations in tourist areas – the first Bovino opened in Cancun in 2009, and another later opened in Playa Del Carmen in 2015.

Bovino’s Churrascaría menu includes all-you-can-eat prime cuts of meat and gourmet specialties, such as ceviche, paella, jumbo prawns, lobster, oysters, octopus and more. The restaurant also offers a full-service bar with an extensive selection of cocktails, wines, and beers.

Due to COVID-19 requirements, the Bovino buffet will be offered via a menu and delivered to your table by your server. Take-out and curbside food will also be available.

From its opening until February 28, a portion of the proceeds will benefit Culinaria, a nonprofit organization committed to promoting San Antonio as a culinary destination and supporting the hospitality community in times of financial hardship.
